In 2017, Brad Battin, Troy Woodruff, and Dustin Frye united to establish BW Construction, a dynamic, innovative, and full-service construction firm. Rooted in their commitment to creating lasting partnerships and delivering unparalleled customer service, BW Construction has since forged a robust foundation. BW’s team is dedicated to being solution-oriented problem solvers, ensuring that they understand the unique intricacies of each project, and striving to be the ultimate force behind achieving our clients’ goals and ambitions.

Dustin Frye
When he is not in the office or on a job site, you’ll often find him on the golf course, pursuing his passion for the game. Off the course, he’s equally enthusiastic about coaching his children’s sports teams or cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers!
Family is at the core of everything he does. He’s been happily married to his lovely wife, Amy, for 17 wonderful years, and together, they’re blessed with six beautiful children—two daughters and four sons.
Dustin also spends time serving as an Elder at his church and as the Vice President of the Mooresville Baseball/Softball league. He also serves as the Secretary of the Morgan County Plan Commission.
Brad Battin
Brad is a graduate of Ball State University. When he’s not developing the framework for the next opportunity, Brad enjoys traveling with his wife Ellie and two daughters or catching a round of golf with friends.
Troy Woodruff
He is always seeking new ways to improve the company to better help its clients. A graduate of Indiana State University, former Indiana State Representative, Former Chief of Staff and Chief of Operations for the Indiana Department of Transportation under Governors Daniels and Pence, Troy is also a former Marine who grew up in Odon, Indiana. He is married to Melissa and they have 2 sons, Austin and Evan.
Jay Trauring
Jay is Director of Preconstruction and is responsible for overseeing all preliminary project planning, budgeting, and bidding activities. Jay believes that being meticulous and organized in the early stages of a project is the foundation to a successful project and for mitigating risks to all parties.
He holds a degree from Purdue University’s Building Construction Management program and possesses more than 15 years of experience. Outside of his knack for numbers and building professional relationships, Jay enjoys spending time with his wife Paige and their two children, Nolan and Blakely. He is also a native of central Indiana and likes activities outdoors, playing golf, cheering for the Boilermakers, Colts, and Pacers, and working on things in the garage.
Bill Galvin
Bill brings an incredibly diverse construction portfolio that transcends 35 years. As Director of Construction, he is responsible for overseeing all field staff, construction activity, and the delivery of our finished products. He relies on the experiences of his past to guide him in his work. His service in the military earned him status as a decorated veteran, a time when he also acquired strong leadership skills. This experience has allowed Bill to actively manage projects ranging from $50,000 to $400 million. His portfolio includes projects in the multi-family, tenant improvement, healthcare, hospitality, commercial, and civil/infrastructure markets.
Bill is an avid collector of bourbon and enjoys getaways to deep sea fish off the Florida Keys when time allows. At home, you will find him working on various remodeling projects or playing with his three German Shepherds.
Max Hamm
As superintendent, he manages and coordinates all on-site subcontractor work, maintains project schedules and costs, and ensures a safe and efficient jobsite. Max is a true leader in implementing practical processes in the field and keeping a focus on scheduled deadlines.
Max is a graduate of the University of Evansville. During his free time, you will find Max in the gym or working around his house. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, two cats, and two Bernese Mountain dogs.
Caleb Jessup
In his role, Caleb thrives in working through complex problems to find the most efficient and effective solutions. He loves being able to take his children to projects he’s completed and show them the results of his work and dedication.
Caleb is a graduate of the IUPUI Construction Engineering Management Technology program. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young sons. As a family, they love to camp, and during the spring months, he coaches his sons’ t-ball teams.
Ron O’Connor
Ron met his wife, Devin, at Ball State University while they were both studying Construction Management. They have two boys Liam and Ethan. He loves anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. When he is not in a tree stand, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his family and watching Notre Dame football. Go Irish!
Kay Piotrowicz
Most recently, in the construction industry, Kay has collectively managed over $200 million dollars in office / retail tenant improvement projects as well as ground up projects in retail, healthcare, mixed-use, and multi-family across the Midwest and Southeast. With her diverse background, she brings a multitude of skills to the project team. Kay’s ultimate goal as a Project Manager is to create a project that is delivered on time, under budget, and exceeds the client’s overall construction expectations.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. You can frequently find her outdoors hiking, biking, watching baseball games (Go Cubs Go!), or working in her yard. Kay loves to travel and has been to over 30 of the 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, the Caymans, and Honduras. Her favorite trip was to Switzerland, Italy, and Iceland in 2017. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and loves to search used bookstores or antique shops for vinyl records!
Jason Rusk
He graduated with a B.S. in Construction Management from Purdue University.
In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He relishes working outside in his yard and working with his hands to create beautiful spaces. He has two lovable cocker spaniels, Arthur, and Rosalind.
Nathan Sommers
Nate’s role as project manager encompasses all aspects of the construction process, from subcontractor buyout, to finishing closeout procedures. His construction journey has taken him nationwide, affording him the opportunity to contribute to projects in the Midwest, East coast, and Western United States. Nate has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and delivering high-quality results.
Nate graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Construction Management, specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and has a minor in organizational leadership. He is a native of Indy’s south side who loves the Colts and Pacers and all Boilermaker sports. If he’s not spending time together with his wife and two kids, you can find him on a local golf course.
John Sondgerath
When asked about his favorite aspect in his role as superintendent, John stated “problem solving and seeing the project come together piece-by-piece”. John graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Building Construction and Contracting. He enjoys working outside on his property, riding his motorcycle, and camping.
Trevor Stenger
In his role, Trevor assists his project managers in maintaining construction schedules and costs, as well as managing all submittals, requests for information, project meetings, and documentation to ensure an organized and efficient project.
You can find Trevor either on a pickle ball court or golfing when he isn’t working. He loves to hang out with friends and family when possible. Trevor also devotes leisure time to woodworking and refurbishing furniture. He and his dad love to construct things together, and their most impressive project has been building a 2,000 square foot cabin in his hometown.
Adam Thiemann
Adam graduated with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Indiana State University. He joined BW in 2022 with over 12 years of experience as a CFO, budget analyst, accountant, and account manager for the State of Indiana within a multitude of departments.
When Adam isn’t wearing his controller hat, he passes his free time outside golfing and camping. He is also a collector of Leatherman multitools. Adam and his wife, Lottie, have four boys and their family are active ministry partners at Grace Church in Camby, where Adam serves on the leadership board.
Robbie Waggoner
Robbie transitioned to the BW team from the banking industry and graduated with degrees in Finance from the University of Evansville and an MBA from Purdue University.
Outside of work, Robbie spends most of his time with friends and family and his Husky, Leo. As a Purdue alumnus, he supports all Boilermaker sports! Robbie also enjoys woodworking and golfing.
