Build BW worked to build a new 110,000-SF, two-story jail in Greenfield, designed to meet projected growth over the next 20 years.
Build BW collaborated closely with the Hancock County Sheriff, Commissioners, key stakeholders, and staff to develop a new jail facility on county-owned land east of Greenfield, Indiana. This project resulted in a two-story structure encompassing 110,000 square feet, strategically designed to meet the projected growth needs of Hancock County’s correctional system over the next two decades.
The new Hancock County Jail incorporates a wide range of essential spaces to support modern correctional operations. These include dedicated areas for evidence storage and facility maintenance, as well as specialized zones for inmate intake and booking procedures. The facility also houses a fully functional kitchen and laundry to serve the inmate population, alongside administrative offices for staff. This thoughtfully planned infrastructure provides a secure and efficient environment to address the county’s current and future needs in corrections.
