Serving as the General Contractor for the new 13,200-SF, three-story Carmel Clay History Museum, Build BW successfully managed the complex construction while also coordinating with the City on site enhancements.
Build BW served as the General Contractor for the construction of the new Carmel Clay History Museum, a three-story, 13,200-square-foot facility located in the heart of Carmel, Indiana. This significant project presented unique logistical challenges due to the extremely tight construction site. Bordered by the popular Monon Trail on one side and residential homes in close proximity on the other, careful planning and execution were paramount to ensure a smooth and safe building process.
Beyond the construction of the museum itself, Build BW also played a crucial role in coordinating with the City of Carmel to relocate and integrate the historic old Train Depot onto the museum site. Positioned at the north end of the new building, the incorporation of the depot adds significant historical context and architectural interest to the overall project, creating a cohesive and engaging experience for museum visitors while preserving a piece of Carmel’s past.
